I have been a mortgage loan officer for over 20 years and in that time I have always tried to put myself in the shoes of the person buying their new home. I can still remember the concern, frustration and anxiety I felt, the first time I bought a home. I will always work to help others have a smooth, less stressful experience while getting a loan to buy their home.
Being involved in the community has always been important to me. So keeping that in mind I have steered my work to companies that also get involved.
Working for two local banks that made a concerted effort to give back and help out the community gave me an opportunity to be actively involved in local events. It also keeps you involved in the first time home buyer clientele, along with builders and developers who are shaping our community.
Currently Pinnacle mortgage is involved with Community Cares program that is actively involved with the local needs of our area.
Being born and raised in Vancouver, an attending Washington State University my involvement in coaching my two sons, along with doing Junior Achievement in the local schools has continued to strengthen my ties to Vancouver and the need for people to give back. I was also involved in the local school bond issues being the treasurer and helping to pass the school levies that support the needs of the local school districts.

Why Get Pre-Qualified?
- Pre-qualification acts as a dry run of the loan application process. The mortgage lender will use details you provide about your credit, income, assets and debts to arrive at an estimate of how much mortgage you can afford. The whole process may take only minutes or a few hours at most, and is free.
- While a "pre-qual" is non-binding to the lender (because the information you provide has not been verified), it does serve as a good indication to potential sellers of your general creditworthiness.
- These days most sellers will NOT accept an offer without at least a pre-approval letter, so if you are serious about buying this is the first step towards getting you in your new home.
